Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q)
If you are enrolling on any course, workshop or class with Rosie Rainbow, you must complete one of the below forms.
Each participant is required to have a completed Student Par-Q before commencing the class.
Personal details will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act and will only be used to contact you regarding Rosie Rainbow Circus / Rainbow Circus Co or in an emergency. Data can be destroyed on your request within 4 weeks of the request if it is appropriate to do so.

Disclaimer - General Health & Risk
Please be aware that any exercise carries certain risks. This may include but is not limited to : high blood pressure, fainting, dehydration, nausea, light headedness, muscle pain, joint pain and pulled muscles. Pole and Aerial fitness also contains the additional risk of bruising, scrapes, pressure and friction burns from the equipment and as we also tend to work at height there is also the risk of falling from height. If you have any prior medical issues or injuries you will be required to seek a doctors permission before taking any classes with us. You must inform your instructor if your health alters in any way. By enrolling for a class with Rosie Rainbow Circus / Rainbow Circus Co you accept the risk and liability that aerial fitness may pose.
COVID-19 Policy & Disclaimer
By enrolling for a class with Rosie Rainbow Circus / Rainbow Circus Co you confirm that you agree to our COVID-19 Policy. By enrolling for a class with Rosie Rainbow you accept the measures herself and staff have put in place to help minimise the risk of COVID-19 but accept the risk of catching COVID-19 in such an environment may not be completely eliminated.
Video, Photography & Social Media Policy
Rosie Rainbow Circus / Rainbow Circus Co Instructors will take photos in class and post them in the private student groups.
Screenshotting or downloading photos from this group is permitted but only of photos of yourself or your child. You may post these photos on your own social media as long as they are only images of yourself or your child.
Rosie Rainbow Circus / Rainbow Circus Co may use these photos on our social media accounts for advertising purposes. If you do not wish our instructors to take photos of yourself or your child please indicate this on your student PAR-Q.
You may take photos in class of yourself or your child but please ensure no other persons are shown in the background without their specific permission.
Filming of instructors is not allowed without their specific permission.
Booking Conditions
When making any booking please ensure your emergency contact details are up to date in case of a medical emergency.
> Courses & Blocks - No refunds or amendments will be allowed for missed classes. You may exchange your course to a later date or alternative course providing you inform us at least 1 week before the 1st class of the course.
> PAYG Classes - Bookings are required via email, in advance. This enables the instructor to plan the lesson and ensure there is space for everyone. Anyone hoping to pay cash on arrival may be turned away if the class is full, however Rosie is happy to accept walk-ins if you have completed the Student PAR-Q and there is space in the class. PAYG spaces must be paid for in cash before the start of the lesson.
> Privates - Private lessons must be pre-discussed with Rosie Rainbow and confirmed via email. Pre-payment is required via bank transfer at least 48 hours before your session time otherwise your booking will be cancelled. Repeated cancellations will lead to an inability to re-book private sessions.
General Rules
Please inform your instructor of any injuries, illness or pregnancy.
No open top drinks or food in the class. It is recommended to bring a water bottle, but please ensure it is lidded and not easy to spill.
Please don't wear any jewellery, or clothing with zips or velcro for class.
Please wear appropriate clothing. Friction burns are common on silks and sling and if your skin is exposed you will get burns! Crop tops are inadvisable. Shorts should be worn underneath a pair of leggings if you would like to take part in pole dance or pole fitness.
Long hair must be tied back.
Do not touch the equipment until an instructor gives you the all clear.
Do not touch the rigging at any time.
Crash mats must be used during classes and practice time.
While rehearsing, practising or renting equipment please do not attempt moves you are unsure of and not 100% confident in.
Do not attempt to learn moves from social media - show the video to your instructor or forward it to them, so they can study it and learn how to safely break it down for you.
Please do not teach each other.
When taking a class please follow the instructions your instructor is giving you.
Parents and observers please do not instruct from the sidelines of class.
If you miss the warm up you may be refused entry to the class.
Parents of children under 11 years old are asked to remain on the premises or in the local area (unless otherwise agreed with your instructor). If there was an accident. staffing ratios do not currently allow an instructor to accompany your child for medical assistance if their needs are greater than the first aid box.

Anti - Bullying Policy
STATEMENT OF INTENT - Rosie is committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all participants so that they can access the magic of the circus in a relaxed and secure atmosphere. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable. If bullying does occur, all club members should be able to inform and be reassured that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively. This means that anyone who knows that bullying is happening is encouraged to inform Rosie Rainbow herself, an instructor or a teaching assistant. Bullying can include
● physical pushing, kicking, hitting, pinching etc
● name calling, sarcasm, spreading rumours, persistent teasing and emotional torment through ridicule, humiliation or the continual ignoring of individuals
● posting of derogatory or abusive comments, videos or images on social network sites
● racial taunts, graffiti, gestures, sectarianism
● sexual comments, suggestions or behaviour
● unwanted physical contact
Children with a disability, from ethnic minorities, young people who are not cisgender or heterosexual, or those with learning difficulties are more vulnerable to this form of abuse and are more likely to be targeted. At Rosie Rainbow Circus and Rainbow Circus Co sessions all forms of bullying will be addressed.
Everybody in the organisation has a responsibility to work together to stop bullying.
Rosie Rainbow / Rainbow Circus Co will:
● recognise her/their duty of care and responsibility to safeguard all participants from harm
● promote and implement this anti-bullying policy in addition to our safeguarding policy and procedures
● seek to ensure that bullying behaviour is not accepted or condoned
● require all members of the organisation to be given information about, and sign up to, this policy.
● take action to investigate and respond to any alleged incidents of bullying
● encourage and facilitate children and young people to play an active part in developing and adopting a code of conduct to address bullying
● ensure that coaches are given access to information, guidance and/or training on bullying.
Each participant, instructor or teaching assistant will:
● respect every child’s need for, and rights to, an environment where safety, security, praise, recognition and opportunity for taking responsibility are available
● respect the feelings and views of others
● recognise that everyone is important and that our differences make each of us special and should be valued
● show appreciation of others by acknowledging individual qualities, contributions and progress
● be committed to the early identification of bullying, and prompt and collective action to deal with it
● ensure safety by having rules and practices carefully explained and displayed for all to see
● report incidents of bullying they see – by doing nothing you are condoning bullying.
SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN
● children should know who will listen to and support them
● children should have access to Helpline numbers
● anyone who reports an incident of bullying will be listened to carefully and be supported
● any reported incident of bullying will be investigated objectively and will involve listening carefully to all those involved
● children being bullied will be supported and assistance given to uphold their right to play and live in a safe environment which allows their healthy development
● those who bully will be supported and encouraged to stop bullying
● sanctions for those bullying others that involve long periods of isolation, or which diminish and make individuals look or feel foolish in front of others, will be avoided.
● systems should be established to open the door to children wishing to talk about bullying or any other issue that affects them
● potential barriers to talking (including those associated with a child’s disability or impairment) will be identified and addressed at the outset to enable children to approach adults for help.
